Professor and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang University. He presently serves as Director of Quality Management Research Center; Chief Expert on National Social Science in major project; Director of China Quality Association; and Deputy Director of QFD research. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Social Information Systems Engineering, Yamanashi University, Japan. His dissertation work under supervision of the two supervisors: Professor Akao Yoji and Professor Shindo Hisakazu. His Ph.D. dissertation in area of applying Herbert Simon’s idea of system’s near decomposability. His publications and research papers on the topic of QFD have been published on both Chinese and English about 50 titles in leading journals and 5 titles in monographs. He also serves as consultant to over a dozen projects and as instructor in QFD training and implementing in a large and various company.
