Asia Quality Function Deployment Association (AQFDA), proposed by the founder of QFD theory, Yoji Akao, is a non-profit organization which is jointly founded and officially registered by quality organizations and experts from
Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a multi-level deductive analysis method which turns customer or market demand into design requirements, component characteristics, process requirements and production requirements. It is firstly proposed by Professor Yoji Akao who is the world quality master to ensure products can meet customer demand and value. Later, it is widely adopted by Japanese companies, and continues to improve in Europe, the
AQFDA will devote itself to the promotion, application and development of QFD and quality innovation theory and technique in Asia, hold activities regularly including seminars, high-end forums, project publication matches, member exchanges and benchmark learning. Besides, the association will set up awards like Asian Quality Innovation Award, Asia Quality Innovation Excellence Project and Asian QFD Outstanding Project in order to recognize fruitful projects in QFD and quality innovation theoretical research and practical application, and implement the accreditation of QFD Registration Certificate, in order to promote the development of quality science and technology in Asia.
